The Bay Tree Hotel

Each room is individually designed with unique decor and charm; examples include the Windrush room with a separate sitting area and the Superior Garden Room with direct garden access. Rooms such as Old Justice offer a bedroom and lounge area akin to a small country cottage, while the Swinbrook room features a super king-size bed and a large bathroom with a walk-in shower. The hotel provides Molton Brown toiletries in bathrooms and Nespresso machines in select rooms for real coffee.

The on-site restaurant emphasizes locally sourced ingredients and seasonal menus, serving dishes such as beef cheeks and rack of lamb. The bar resembles a traditional country pub with a cosy atmosphere and offers a selection of wines, real ales, and peroni on tap. Breakfast includes a buffet with cereals, pastries, and fruit, plus cooked options like Eggs Benedict and French toast.

The hotel offers exclusive-use wedding options for an intimate and private experience, with the wedding coordinator Laura managing seamless planning and on-day execution. The ceremony room, dining room, and reception area can be set up to host wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations. The property also has extensive meeting and conference facilities with natural daylight, accommodating business events and private gatherings.

The hotel is dog-friendly with allocated rooms for pets, providing pet bowls and baskets, and even a doggy breakfast option. Guests can walk dogs up the high street and around the recreational ground, with a recommended 2.5-hour walk from the hotel. Free parking is available on-site, and the hotel offers easy access from major motorways and is a short walk from Burford's high street with independent shops and galleries.
